Marabu North America's Response to COVID-19

To our family of valued customers:

The health and safety of our Marabu team and our customers are our highest priority during the current COVID-19 situation. We are taking steps to make sure all our employees, customers, and products are safe. Our Germany based manufacturing operations are continuing to produce high-quality products for you on a daily basis. We experienced some shipping delays early in the crisis, but we are now regularly receiving new containers of Marabu product into the port of Charleston.  

On March 16th, 2020, President Trump issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states: “If you work in the critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, … you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”  Over the past few days, Charleston and the surrounding counties instituted “stay-at-home” orders requiring that only essential businesses remain in operation. After careful review of the language and intent of the order, we have concluded that as we supply products to a variety of industrial segments including medical, packaging, pharmaceutical and defense that Marabu is an essential business to the recovery of our nation from COVID 19.

In an attempt to maximize the safety of our employees and their families, we have followed guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and modified our operations accordingly.  We have instituted a work from home policy, eliminated all but essential travel, implemented additional hygiene and sanitization practices and have maximized social distancing.  In addition, we’ve made the decision to reduce our operating schedule to 4 days per week until Easter.  Our facility will be closed on March 27th, April 4th and April 11th.
  
We recognize the unique nature of the current business climate and stand ready to support our customers.  For any of our trusted dealers that have made the difficult decision to close your doors temporarily during the crisis, please let us know if we can assist you with drop shipments to your customers.
